2017年暑期美国游学纪实九（范敏慧）
American Tour Summer Camp
We had arrived in America and then took a bus to Norwich University. We would study in Norwich University for a week. Our hostels in Norwich University are very clean and tidy. We are very comfortable there. But we only have 2 bathrooms is the only thing that is missing. So when we finish dinner, everyone ran to the bathroom quickly. That is because if you are late, you could only take a bath late. By the way, the school dinner is very delicious! The university is very big and beautiful. It is nature. We all like here. It has a mountain. We climbed the mountain. To tell you the truth, climbing the mountain makes me tired. I shed a lot of sweat and my legs were sour. But when we at the top of the mountain, we didn’t feel tired anymore because the scenery on the mountain is very good!
We learnt how to be an ambassador. Everyone had chosen to represent different countries and prepared for the country’s customs and the problem it faces. Everyone worked with neighboring ambassador to speak. I am a Swiss ambassador. I spoke with Croatian ambassador, HJY. Before the speech, we searched information about our countries. We learnt a lot through it.
A week passed quickly. We left the university and began to visit the US. We visited a great number of different universities in the US, such as Princeton University, MIT and Harvard University. The universities are all beautiful and classical. We walked in the universities and felt the domineering atmosphere. Different universities has different characteristic.
We also visited some world-famous parks. First we went to Universal Studios Hollywood. Universal Studios has many different theme parks, such as small yellow people park, Transformers park and many other parks. I like Harry Potter park best. I sat a roller coaster and it is very stimulated. I drank a glass of butter beer. The butter beer doesn’t contain alcohol, it tasted sweet and delicious. I like it very much. By the way, there are so many unique shops in the park. There is a shop that sells wands. And a shop that sells witch gowns. I ate a special dinner in the land, I ate turkey leg! It is really big! I sat the mummy roller coaster. It reports that the mummy roller is the most horrifying roller of the world. We had been hesitant before we sat it on. But when we got off, we all thought it isn’t worthy of the name.
Then we went to Disneyland. Disneyland is every children’s dream. It is dreamlike and full of playfulness. I took the carousel and felt happy. I watched the parade. It is such good! GXY and I played the most horrific three roller coaster of Disneyland’s. But tell you a secret, a few boys afraid to took roller coasters, so when we were taking roller coasters, they could only play the phone outside. In the evening, we went to Happy Haunted House. We were scared there. It isn’t worthy of the name, it is not happy at all. By the way, when we got off the torrents, every was dry, except CZY, he was soaked because he was sitting on the first row. But CJL was sitting on the first row, too. But she was not soaked at all. Why is this? We don’t know.
We visited some museums, too. We visited American National Museum and Metropolitan Museum.Everybody knows ‘Hope Diamond ’, it is in the American National Museum now. It is bright. After dazzling brilliance it witnessed how many stories of death and death, and buried the number of unknown secrets. Its owners has gone, they have vividly live, but now, they are forgotten in the torrent of history. Only ‘Hope Diamond ’ that witnessed all the brilliant for people to tribute.
The beach was relaxing. We enjoyed ourselves there. We walked along the coast and let the waves pat down our feet. After that, Paul and Shelly had already ready for lunch. We ate baked hot dogs, baked corn, American sweet sandwich and many other delicious foods. Some people were surfing, some were swimming and some are play beach baseball. Oh, LMZ was buried in the sand by us and his flip flops were in the sand, too. Everybody felt happy.
From this trip, I learn a lot. I became more independent. I know how to get on well with people better. I learnt to plan. I grew up.
